Obituary of Elena (Quintangeli) Craft

Elena (Quintangeli) Craft, 92, Royersford

Elena Craft, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 4th, 2023 in the Phoenixville Hospital. 

She was born in Ripe di Civitella del Tronto Teramo, to the late Dominic and Rosaria (DePacificis) Quintangeli. At 18 years old Elena left Italy and came to the United States with her husband, Angelo M. DiVitantonio and they had four children. After Angelo’s death Elena married the late William A. Craft. She resided in Royersford for most of her years, raising her children and being active in her community.

She was employed at the Spring City Knitting Company through retirement. Elena was a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Parish and a member of their Silver Liners Senior Circle. She was also a member of the Royersford Women’s Club and Senior Fellowship at St. James Lutheran Church. Elena was known for her cooking, crocheting, and her love of gardening. She enjoyed baking traditional Italian cookies and desserts and loved sharing them with her family and friends. Nothing made her happier than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Elena is survived by her son Angelo DiVitantonio (wife, Debbie) and daughters Mary Havrilla (husband, John), Pauline DiVitantonio, Roseann DiVitantonio and stepdaughter Diana Dennison-Habuda, wife of the late Ted Habuda. She is also survived by her brother Vincent Quintangeli (wife, Bessie) and many nieces and nephews. 

She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Christine, Angela, Michella, Tina, Alicia, Trevor, Briana and five great-grandchildren Jacob, Sophia, Miles, Nicholas and Aria.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9:00AM to 10:30AM Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 838 Walnut Street, Royersford, PA 19468 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. Reverend Gorka will be officiating. 

Burial will be immediately following at St. Anns Cemetery, 378 W. Pothouse Road,  Phoenixville Pennsylvania 19460.

All arrangements are being handled by Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA.
