I have very fond memories of Elena. She was a wonderful person, and a visible presence at Sacred Heart Church in Royersford. Happy to share this memory of her, along with some Sacred Heart parishioners; when Father Timothy Judge said Mass in my home on January 19, 2014.

Dear Rosesann and Divitantonio family, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother. She was an extraordinary lady..very kind, compassionate, loving and very thoughtful. So many great memories with grandmom: Her letting my friends and I mix her drinks made up of mustard, mayo, orange juice, etc. to taste test. Playing hide and seek outside in the dark with my friends and I. Her teaching me how to drive and putting tissues in her ears because I played the music too loud. All of the times she made spaghetti and meatballs for my classes in high school. Her going into my student teaching experience and sharing with the 4th graders all about Italy. Then again when I got my teaching job. Going home "sick" from school and watching Jerry Springer (she told me not to watch that crap) and having homemade cheesesteaks. All of our trips to Shady Maple and Valley Forge (listening to She Drives Me Crazy) and fried chicken picnics. Getting the candy sticks from the Valley Forge gift shop. Her always making pitzels, gloves, and lemon cookies for all events. Playing card games and the Sacred Heart Fair. Playing dress up in her clothes and camping in the backyard. She was one of a kind.
