Obituary of Richard D. Simpson

Richard  D. Simpson, 72, Turtle Creek, PA

Richard Simpson, 72,  husband to the late Shirley Simpson (McLain) passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 in the Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City, PA.

He was born March 28, 1948 in Wilkensburg, PA to the Late John Earl Simpson and Esther Elizabeth Simpson.  Affectionately known as “Snoopy”, Richard served in the Army in Korea and later worked for Westinghouse for 23 years as a Steel worker.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved the Maple Festival and enjoyed taking Shirley out every Sunday for their favorite BBQ chicken tradition.  Richard was a member of the Pitcairn Assembly of God Church and the local Pitcairn VFW. He was an fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed cheering them on.

Richard is survived by his brother, Jim Simpson and five children:  Linda Joiner, Robert Simpson, Ron Moxson, Rick Simpson, and Laurie Dick.
