Aunt Elva was Barry's Great Aunt. She was a very sweet lady. When Barry and I got married, for our first Christmas, Aunt Elva made us hand made Christmas tree ornaments and had them in a special box. Every year we put them on our tree. They are still in the special box she gave us and we always smile and think of her when we put them on our tree.
I have many fond memories of Mrs. Dotterer as she was my neighbor for the first 20years of my life. I remember visiting her on her front porch and we'd talk about things in the neighborhood and watch the world pass by. She often yell “Hello Krissy” while I was out playing. After I moved away I’d see her on her porch as I’d pass by on my way to visit my family. I miss not seeing her sitting there.. the neighborhood isn’t the same since she left.
She was a very kind hearted woman and will be dearly missed.
My condolences go out to her family.
My thoughts and prayers to the Dotterer family during this tragic time.
Elva was a very sweet woman, I am sure she is smiling down on us from above. May she rest peacefully.
