Robert Emswiler, Jr., 61, Royersford

Robert Emswiler, Jr., 61, died at home, Thursday, March 8, 2018.

He was born in Phoenixville to the late Robert Emswiler, Sr. and the late Sara Jane (Bearde) Emswiler.  Robert was the eldest of 5 children.  Robert graduated in 1974 from Spring-Ford High School.  He worked in food delivery for Center City Pizza. 

Robert loved spending time with this family especially his nieces and nephews.  He enjoyed researching the family genealogy and always had a great story to share about the family history. Robert enjoyed trying new things especially when it came to good food and good music. He loved baseball, especially the Phillies. He enjoyed all Philly sports and thoroughly enjoyed watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Robert leaves behind his two sisters:  Judy Dougherty (wife of Joseph) of Royersford, Linda Wells (wife of the late John) of Royersford; two brothers:  David of Spartansburg, SC and Rodger (husband of Cynthia) of Mulenburg, Twp., PA ; seven nieces and five nephews; and an ever growing number of great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475.  Friends are invited to visit with the family prior to the service from 11:00 – 11:30 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert’s honor to Spring-Ford Project Outreach, 410 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468.  Donate online at http://spring-fordprojectoutreach.org/to-give/.
