Lena Fiorelli, 84, died Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Silver Stream Nursing Home, where she had been for only a few hours before her passing.. Born in Philadelphia in 1932, Lena resided in Spring City for many years until the mid 1980’s then she moved to Philadelphia. About 15 years ago, she moved into her home in Conshohocken. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Conshohocken. Lena had a love for life. She was born on July 4th and was always certain to celebrate her birthday with lots of fireworks. Parties and celebrations or every occasion were very important to her. Ms. Lena was definitely a “party girl “. She enjoyed dancing, all musical events, vacations, shopping and dining out. Lena was sole proprietor of her own business “Lena’s Gifts and Greetings” stenciling, water coloring, coloring, painting greeting cards, gift bags, wine bags, bird houses, and an array of other gift items . Her products were sold at gift shops, fairs, conventions and by Lena herself. One was never in her presence without purchasing one of her beautiful works of art. Ms. Lena adored the color red. She was not happy unless her hair and nails were red. She often referred to herself as a “movie star”, and that she was to all who knew her. If you met Lena you would never forget her. She was generous, thoughtful, concerned for others, flamboyant, assertive, strong, embracing, all wrapped in one. Lena was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Keller. Lena leaves behind a long list of family and friends that will miss her. She is survived by her family Elizabeth Anthony, Linda Concini, her personal care givers, Alyssa Tyson, Renee McNeill, Kathi O’Rourke Rees, Linda Washington Brown, all of her Horizon House and CIS supporters and her cousin Pauline Haney. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 19, 2016 in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA with the Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. Interment will be private. Anyone who is so interested, please wear something red to give our Ms. Lena a smile. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 10:45 am Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church.
