Obituary of Mildred E. Taylor

Mildred E. Taylor, 91, affectionately known as “Millie” of Wyndmoor and E. Coventry, died Saturday August 13, 2016 at home surrounded by her adoring husband and family.
She was born in Wyndmoor to the late Harry and the late Elsie (Sharp) Edenborn where she attended Springfield High School in Montgomery County and later got her BS in Education at Temple University and achieved her Masters in Science at Temple. Millie had a brilliant mind and used it to inspire others. She taught at the Plymouth Whitemarsh School District for many years.
Millie was devoted to her family and was very active at Zion Lutheran Church where she was involved in vacation bible school and taught Sunday School. It was not uncommon for Millie and Keith to travel around the country to watch their son Keith compete in Equestrian competitions. She was one of his greatest fans.
Millie left behind a husband of over 60 years, S. Keith Taylor and a daughter, Elysia T. Ashburn, wife of Richard E. of East Coventry; two grandchildren: Taylor R. and Harrrison S. Ashburn; one sister: Joan E. Stiles and one brother: Harry M. Edenborn. A tragic horse accident took their son, Keith S. Taylor in 1998
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Zion Lutheran Church, 39 Bonnie Brae Rd, Spring City 19475 with the Rev. Paul Townsend officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:15 to 10:00. Burial will be immediately following at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Spring City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted by the church.
