Zoe Marie (Smith) Stangler, 33, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Lehigh County. She was born in Norristown to Robert J. and the late MaryAnne (Penecale) Smith. Zoe attended Methacton high school where she was active on the diving team and played baritone in the jazz band. Zoe had a creative talent, especially with ceramic art. She learned to play the guitar and loved music throughout her life. Zoe was a great cook and could make an amazing lasagna! Her adventurous spirit included the love of hiking, a deep appreciation for nature and the excitement of scuba diving. Zoe leaves behind her father, Robert Smith and step mother Lisa Atkinson; three children: Magnus, Cameron and Aiden; her half sister, Emma and step sister, Abby. Her grandparents and her mom, MaryAnne, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 26th 2016 in the Green Tree Church Of The Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks. With Pastor Rod O’Donnell officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2016 prior to the service at Green Tree Church Of The Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks. Burial will be immediately following in Green Tree Cemetery. Zoe’s family thanks you for your caring thoughts and loving prayers.
