David L. Sollenberger, 59, Spring City David L. Sollenberger, 59, husband of Holly Sollenberger, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born in Altoona to the late James and Ethel Shaw Sollenberger. David graduated in 1974 from Downingtown High School and resided most of his adult life in East Vincent Township on their family farm. He worked and retired as a Carpenter where he was a member of the local 465 Carpentry Union for over 30 years. David loved farm machinery and making hay. It was normal to find him building or tinkering on a piece of equipment. David is survived by his supportive wife, Holly and four loving children: Julie, husband Mark Taney of Perkiomenville, Kevin Sollenberger, Phoenixville, Colin Sollenberger, wife Emily of Pottstown, and Kyle, fiancé Randi Hlakik of East Vincent Township; four grandchildren: Cole, Tyler, Olivia and Scott and a sister: Mona Langham of Glenmoore. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, May 13, 2016 in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Bridge Street, Spring City with the Rev. Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 AM Friday in the funeral home.
