Mary Jane Marshall, 68, of Spring City, wife of C. Richard Marshall, died Sunday at her home on Sunday, December 6 with family and friends by her side She was born in Phoenixville to the late Harry and the late Margaret (Morrow) Myers, she has resided in the Mont Clare, Spring City area her entire life. A 1965 graduate of Spring Ford High School, she worked at Continental (PNC) Bank as an administrative assistant for 31 years, then at a local engineering firm for the past 15 years. Mary Jane was an active member at The First United Church of Spring City, serving on consistory in various positions In addition, she was a lifetime member of the Spring Ford Area Historical Society. Her activities included reading, homemaking, helping with meals on wheels, and helping her husband work on cars. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Margaret Ann Myers “Mags” of Roslyn, Pa. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at The First United Church Of Christ, 145 Chestnut Street, Spring City, 19475 With the Rev. Erick Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:30 PM Thursday at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, and again on 10:00-11:00 AM Friday First United Church Of Christ, 145 Chestnut Street, Spring City, PA, 19475. Burial will be in The Fernwood Cemetery Royersford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in her honor to The First United Church of Christ, 145 Chestnut St., Spring City, PA 19475, or The Spring Ford Area Historical Society, 526 Main St., Royersford, PA 19468 Online tributes may be made to her at www.sgsfuneralhome.com Shalkop Grace & Strunk is in charge of the arrangements.
