Bernice A. Begel, 87, of Spring City , died Monday in Spring Mill Assisted Living, Phoenixville, PA .
She was born in Mifflin, PA to the late Clyde and Elsie (Hunt) Horner.
She worked in the cafeteria at the South East Veterans Center, Spring City, PA, and the Former Collegeville Inn, and The Limerick Diner. She was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church and was an avid homemaker.
She is survived by her children, William D. Garland, Michelle L. Bearden, Mark S. Garland, and Danielle R. Blair; and a brother, Donald E. Horner, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her late husbands William C. Garland and Harold C. Begel. son, Dennis E. Garland, and her sisters, Bertha Goss, Anna Lehman, Alice Bean, Ruth Bridge, and Esther Eslick.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, December 10, at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church, Swamp Pike and Kuger Rd. Limerick, PA 19468 with the Rev. Homer Royer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 AM
