Bette Wojton, 85, Spring City
Bette Wojton, 85, widow of Walter H. Wojton, Sr., died Sunday, January 4, 2014 in The Veterans Medical Center.
She was born in Spring City in 1929, to the late Earl and Ada (Fox) Lightcap.
A 1947 graduate of the former Spring City High School, she worked as a Inspector for Diamond/Anchor Glass Company for 35 years..
She loved to knit and crochet and sang with The Sweet Adelines. Her grandmother was a first cousin to Mrs. Smith of Mrs. Smith Pies.
She is survived by her five children; sons, Walter H. Wojton, Jr. husband of Brenda of Pottstown, Ted E. Wojton, husband of Cindy of Collegeville, and Joe Alackness, husband of Judy of Royersford; daughters, Helen DellaPenna of Reading, and Beverly Morris of Florida; and her brother Dick Lightcap, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson. In addition to her husband, Walter H. Wojton, Sr, who passed away in 1989, she is predeceased by her sister, the late Ruth Custer, and her great grandson, Patrick.
Her funeral service will be held at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475 on Saturday, January 10 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10 at the Funeral Home from 9:45 to 10:45 AM.
