Lewis I Favinger, 86, Spring City
Lewis I Favinger, loving husband of Mary (Hozyash) Favinger of Spring City, East Vincent Township, age 86, died on Monday morning in the Golden Living Center Phoenixville.
Lewis was born in Birchrunville PA a son to the late Frank and Ruth (Strickland) Favinger. Lewis resided most of his life in Phoenixville. He attended the Phoenixville Schools, and he was employed for thirty two years as a truck driver in the Lumber Industry, until his retirement. Lewis and Helen were in their 64th year of marriage. He was also a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Lewis was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville. He was also a Teamster. Lewis was an avid gardener and enjoyed his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sister: Helen wife of Wilson Christman of Royersford and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters: Sara Kraft, Mae Cuddy, Elizabeth Franz and Dorothy Strock, and brothers: Harry Favinger, William Favinger and John Favinger.
His viewing and funeral service and burial are being held private.
