Theresa Mungin Roberts, 70, passed away Tuesday in her home in Royersford. Theresa was born to the late Forine J. Mungin, Sr. and the late Josephine C. (Sarnesi) Mungin. She resided all of her life in Royersford, and was employed for 20 years as a correctional officer at Graterford Prison until her retirement. She was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School and West Chester University (A.A.), and was a lifelong member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister, a lectern, a Serviette sister, and gave much of her time as a volunteer with many activities at the Church, including the Church fair. In addition to all her church activities, she was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was the loving mother of four children, Gena Hornak of Lansdale, Amy Roberts of Norfolk, Virginia, Jason Roberts of Philadelphia, and Brian Roberts of Arlington, Virginia. In addition she is survived by her three sisters, Carmella Mungin, Emma Mungin, and Dorothy Dingess; and her brother, Forine "Butch" Mungin. She is also survived by two nieces, including her goddaughter Alicia Welch, and one nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Monday June 2, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church 3640 Schuylkill Rd., Spring City, PA 19475; The Reverend Charles O'Hara will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home 135 Bridge St., Spring City, and PA 19475; and at the church on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Burial will be private in St. Ann's cemetery.
