Obituary of Emily M. Sharp

Emily M. (Green) Sharp, 98, widow of Charels E. Sharp, formerly of Royersofrd, dieed Sunday, April 13, 2013 in Manor Care  Bethlehem.  she was born in Spring city to the alte Edwin Frank and matilda E. (West Green).

Emily was a long standing member of the Spring Ford Area.

she graduated in the Calss of 1933 fromt he former Spring City High School.

Emily loved to travel the world.  She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.  She worked as an Accountant for her father's business and was  adedicaged member at the First United Church of Christ in Spring City.  Emily served as the Treasurer of the Spring City Building Savings and Loan Association where she retired.

She was a 57 yyear member of the Order of teh Eastern Star and many community organizations including the Golden Agers Bowling League.  Emily is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister:  Thomas and Milton Green and Helen Buckwalter. Surviving are seven nieces and nephews:  Susan Johannes of Bethlehem, PA, Robert Buckwalter of Pottstown, PA , Wayne Buckwalter of Indianapolis; In, Thomas Buckwalter, Kay Falli of Royersford: Blain Buckwalter, Fay Landis and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 12 PM the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.  The Rev. Erick Kern will officiate.

Burial to follow in the Zion Lutheran Cenetery. 

Friends may call Saturday at the fuenral home from 11:30 AM to 12 NOON.
