Obituary of Frank J Thees

Frank J. Thees, age 82 beloved husband of Minerva (Hetrick) Thees of Spring City, PA died on Friday, January 10, 2025 in the Reading Hospital.

Frank was born in Pottstown to the late Joseph and Helen (Dekold)Thees. He lived most of his life in the Spring City area.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Frank drove Truck for many years for Matlack and also worked security at The South Eastern Veterans Center in Spring City.

He was the Post Commander at the VFW Post 31, at The South Eastern Veterans Center. And also, a member of the Spring City American Legion Post 602 Honor Guard. He also volunteered his time as a Firefighter and Fire Police with The Liberty Fire Company of Spring City for many years, and also volunteered with the Spring City Ambulance and Spring Ford Rescue Squad.

Frank was an Avid Fisherman, and enjoyed Camping and Hunting. He loved to spend time tying flies and making all kinds of fishing rods.

In addition to his wife Frank is survived by Daughter: Stacey Minotto (Mark), son: Mike Thees (Dianne), step son: Bob Hookway, five grandchildren: Brittany N. Thees, Caylie Shinall, Anthony Minotto, Frankie Minotto, and Giovanni Minotto, step grandchildren: Ryan and Tara Hookway, and six great grandchildren. Frank is preceded in death by Step Son: Ray Hookway and brothers: Joseph and James Thees.
