Obituary of James R. Kline

James R. Kline, aged 81, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania died at home on September 9, 2024.
He was the son of Erwin James and Naomi Hamel Kline of Flourtown, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Virginia on full scholarship and graduated in 1964 with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He attended the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business on scholarship, graduating with a Master of Business Administration degree in 1966.
Jim was proud to serve as a forty-plus year member of the Ambler Rotary Club, serving as its president in 1984-85 and was a Paul Harris Fellow.
He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. He was also an avid trap shooter and was a member of Two Century Trap Club and Atlantic Indians Trapshooting Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years Phyllis, his son James Bradford and wife Kristy and son Joseph Barton and wife Lucy, and grandchildren Chloe, Maxwell and Leo. He also leaves behind sisters Susan Kopplin and Linda Newton, brother-in-law Dominick D’Orazio, MD and many relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:30am at R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 am at R. Strunk Funeral Home. A luncheon to follow at the Kimberton Inn, 2105 Kimberton Rd, Kimberton.
