Q: What 3 words best describe Roger and why?
A: Roger the Lodger
As residents of Martock we have known Roger for many years and latterly had the pleasure of having him to stay with us whilst visiting England in our spare room named by Roger “The Philli Suite” which will be known as that for evermore.
Over the years we have relished watching Roger blossom in America building a wonderful life and creating a fabulous family that he was so enormously proud of.
We have made some great memories with a wonderful man and will truly miss him and his visits.
Thanks for the good times Snicky we will remember you with so much love.

Q: How would you describe Roger to someone who had never met them?
A: Three F's come to mind, Family, Football and Fun. I met Roger in the very early 90s, and we spoke the same language and bonded over footy, and then many other things through the years. We coached together for over a decade starting with our daughters. We traveled collecting coaching badges and attending courses, he just had more dedication and desire to go to a higher level. We played together until our bodies failed, mine much sooner than his! Here is a quiet night out with some football buddies

Dearest Patti and family.
My deepest sympathy and condolences.
I'm a Somerset boy at heart as well as Rog, and we met at senior school aged 11.
We became great friends and spent a lot of our youth and teenaged years in each other's company.
We certainly had some fun which set our bond for life.
As I said to Linda recently, I feel sad in my heart.
And will so miss Rog (as we all will)
The photo I send was taken recently at the end of an Ultra.
We had such a great day that day, which is a lovely memory.
Love to all. JAMO

I didn't always have the most "family friendly" taste in music. I'll always remember Roger's funny reactions coming into the basement and hearing what we were listening too. He was always fun to be around. He'll be missed , but never forgotten.

Roger the Lodger
Growing up in Martock we have so many fond memories of Roger.
Latterly we were blessed to have Roger as the visiting resident of “The Philly Suite” our guest bedroom christened by him. We have been lucky to enjoy his company over the years and had many conversations, laughs and reminiscences.
We will miss his WhatsApp contributions as it was always a pleasure to wake up to some witty comment from over the pond.
Mainly we will miss Roger as a wonderful friend and a true gentleman who had a love of life, many passions but his greatest love was for for Patti, Jessica, Blake, Jacqueline and Kyle who make up the great Tucker family created by a great man.

Our deepest sympathies to Patti and family. So sorry for your loss.
Cousin Roger, Whilst our paths crossed infrequently it was always so nice when they did. Early memories of our family holidays in the west country, to you visiting Portsmouth and taking me to the greyhound stadium when I was a kid. You always came to visit me and my family when you were in England and we could talk for ages about finance and football. I will always treasure my visit to you and your family in the US.
Always in our memories RIP Rog. Love Jonathan, Kath and Family.

Patti and family please accept our condolences and sympathy.
I met Roger at 11 years old at senior school in Somerset, England, and have kept in touch one way or another ever since.
Whether we were in each other's company, phoning or texting it was always fun and a good time.
Those times I will miss as I'm sure everyone who knew him will miss him too.
Gone way too soon but a great legacy.

Roger was my eldest nephew, we both grew up in Martock Somerset.
When Roger was two years old, my parents and I moved to Portsmouth.
Roger’s Mum and Dad would often visit us in Portsmouth with Roger Cynthia ,and Linda.
When we saw Roger at the end of May this year ,he wanted to visit Portsmouth again and asked us to go with him.
We visited lots of places he remembered.
You will always be in our hearts and memories Roger
Sending our heartfelt condolences to Patti and family at this difficult time. Love from Aunty Marilyn and Uncle Pete xx

I worked with Roger at Vanguard, early in my career, and he was an example of a patient and kind leader. That core team has a special place in my heart and memory. He will truly be missed. Roger loved his family and it was evident in the way he talked about them. My deepest condolences.

Watching this was truly inspiring. Roger lived the life that he chose and enjoyed every minute. He was really a special man and could light a fire under anyone. I so enjoyed his company. He did his job on this earth, never wasting a moment and raising four incredible children. Roger and Patti had a good life together and he will leave a large hole in this world.
