Obituary of William M. Brewer

William “Bill” M. Brewer, 80,

William “Bill” Brewer, 80,  husband to Linda (Brockerman) passed away Tuesday afternoon April 9, 2024 at the Keystone Villas in Douglassville, PA. 

He was born August 6, 1943 in Phoenixville to the late William Gray Brewer and the late Mildred Murray Brewer.  Bill attended Owen J. Roberts High School and loved the Chester County life on his parents’ farm.  He began driving tractor trailer for Jones Motor Freight after 7 years, he moved onto to Roadway Express.  Retiring from Roadway Express, he became known as “Will Haul”.  Filling his waking hours doing custom moving and hauling for the Amish Community for their livestock and machinery needs for 19 years.

A “Champion of fulfilling my dreams” Bill, a single dad with four children, married Linda, who had one daughter and they joined two families together for a “Joint Venture” and never looked back, just celebrating 40 years of marriage last year.

A classic car lover, Bill loved his “Bow Tie Cars” the Chevy.  Some of his favorites included the 31 Black Coupe, and “Best of Show” 57 Bel Air.  He and Linda even purchased a 60 Corvette Roadster that they restored.

Their joint ventures not only included family, cars but also Arabian horses.  They owned and raised horses in Montour County and Bradford County.  He had a passion for the outdoors, never missing opening day of Buck Season and exploring piece of family property in Sullivan County and the Endless Mountains.

Bill is survived by his adoring wife, Linda, four children:  William Brewer, David (Wife, Wendy) Brewer, Deborah (husband, Timothy) Kitchick and Ronald Brewer, a step – daughter:  Michelle Lynn Koch; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his brother:  Kenneth L. Brewer.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings:  James Murray Brewer and Robert Charles Brewer.
