William D. Brown 48, Spring City
William D. “Billy” Brown, age 48, died on Thursday, November 14, at his home with his beloved fiancé, Karen by his side.
Born in Phoenixville, PA, Billy was the son of the late Leonard Brown, Jr. and the late Nancy (Mulhern) Brown
Having attended Spring Ford High School, he resided in the Royersford, Spring City area all of his life.
He was employed as a truck driver for Wayne Carmint, Inc., Billy was actively involved in many organizations in the community; including The Liberty Fire House, The Friendship Fire Company, The Italian Bocce Club, The Royersford VFW, The Spring Ford Rescue Squad, St. Gabriels Lodge in Pottstown, Reamstown Athletic Club, and The Fraternal Order of Police. His other activities included riding his Harley Davidson ‘Fat Boy’, racing with the Buckwalter Race Team and the “Big Dog’ Bouncer for Dog Bite Money and Mama Kin.
William is survived by his fiance, Karen Gibson. In addition, he is survived by a sister, Carol, wife of Ronald Wise of Royersford, and three brothers, Edward Brown, and his wife Pam of Parkerford , Leonard Brown, III and his wife, Cheryl of Schwenksville, and Thomas Brown and his wife Nicole of Bristol, PA; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Nancy Cummings, and his brother, Scott Brown
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475. Visitation will be held Monday Evening, November 18, 2013, from 6 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Billy Brown Memorial Fund, at The TD Bank
