Joan M. Houser

Joan M. Houser, age 82, of Royersford, passed away on December 14, 2023, at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Shenandoah PA, Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Wahalec) Sampson. Joan was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School. Joan lived most of her life residing in Royersford, where she loved reading and doing puzzles. She also enjoyed spending her time going to the beach. Joan enjoyed vactioning to historical desitinations with her daughter and was a big fan of the Space Program.   Joan was employed at Bell Telephone Company for thirty three years, where she worked as a computer operator.

Joan leaves behind her two children, Sandy (husband, Tom), and Tina Yosko (husband, Steve). She will be missed by her four grandchildren: Mike, Casey, Taylor, and Megan. She also leaves behind her four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Jospeh and Anna (Wahalec) Sampson and her sister, Jackie Romanoski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.
