Martha Mary (Sheha) McDaniel, age 88, wife of the late Jack M. McDaniel of Royersford, died on Wednesday December 6, 2023, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown PA, Martha was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Shalhoup) Sheha. Martha was a graduate of Pottstown High School; Class of 1953, where she was Head Drum Majorette. She married Jack in 1954 and lived in Royersford, raising two sons as members of the Royersford Baptist Church. Over the years she was employed by the Royersford Police Department as a crossing guard at Fifth Avenue and Walnut Street and at the Spring-Ford Knitting Company in Spring-City. She was an avid bowler at the Liberty Fire Company with her team "The Poodles" and was also involved with the Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was a Super Sports fan following all the Philly teams as well as Villanova University, but her passion was greatest for the Golden Rams of Spring-Ford where she cheered on her sons, grandchildren and many "adopted" athletes.
