Ralph (Hiestand) Meitzler

Ralph (Hiestand) Meitzler, born February 14, 1945, husband of Beverley Nick Meitzler, married August 19, 1967, passed away on September 22, 2023 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Pottstown PA, he was the son of the late Ralph Franklin Meitzler and Mildred Hiestand Meitzler.

He graduated from Spring-Ford School in 1963. He was active in several clubs. He started working for Acme Markets in November of 1961. This was a part-time job for thirty-seven years. Upon graduation from Lycoming College with a BA degree, he taught senior high mathematics at Owen J. Roberts School District for 35 years. He received his Master of Education from Penn State.

He was a member of the Royersford Masonic Lodge #585 and Master in 1977. He was a member of Scottish Rite, Elks, life member of Humane Fire Co., life member of Spring City Fire Co and Pike Sportsman’s Club.

Surviving along with his wife Beverley is a son Kevin Meitzler (wife Jennifer) granddaughters Katie and Kassie Meitzler, grandsons Brandon, Andrew, and Colin Bivenour. A brother and sister-in-law: Harry & JoAnn Meitzler, Niece and nephew Karen Savin, husband Jeff, and Keith Meitzler with friend Marie Heinz, Steph & Phil Albitz, and Steve and Cybyl George.

Services will be held on October 7 at Grace Lutheran Church where he was a member. Visitation will be at 9:00-11:00 AM, a masonic service will be held at 11:30 and memorial service will follow at 11:45 AM.
