John James “Jack” Newett, 65, Royersford, PA
Jack Newett, age 65, husband of Mary (Lorenzo) Newett, of Royersford, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22.
Born in Phoenixville, Jack was the son of the late John Newett, Sr. and the late
Arlene (Guest) Newett.
A 1965 graduate of Spring Ford High School, Jack worked as a truck driver for John Pfrommer, Inc. for many years. In addition, he was a self-employed courier.
Jack enjoyed home improvement projects, masonry work, gardening and horticulture. An avid outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed bicycling, kayaking, riding his motorcycle, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Jack’s sense of humor, quick wit, storytelling and discussions of history, religion, politics and science will be sadly missed.
Jack was a proud veteran of The United States Military having served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, Jack is survived by three children: Joshua, husband of Hanna Lee of Jinhae, South Korea, Jonathan of Royersford and Danielle, wife of Andrew Mungin of Royersford. In addition, he is survived by two grandchildren, Taylor and Ryan Mungin. His is also survived by a sister, Patricia Newett Jones, wife of Nicholas Jones of Phoenixville, and beloved aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
There will be a celebration of Jack’s life on Sunday September 29 beginning at 11:00 AM at their home in Royersford. Remembrances will begin at noon. Parking is available at the VFW.
