Obituary of Nancy E. Dardas

Nancy E. Dardas, 81, Pottstown, PA

Nancy E. Dardas (Weston), passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023, to be with her husband Jim, the love of her life. She has missed him terribly since his passing on April 29, 2020. Nancy was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt and a friend to all. She loved her family, both 2 and 4-legged, deeply. Not only a mother to her own daughter, Robin Dardas-Emrey, she was also a mother to Robin’s dearest friends. Nancy had a huge heart, great sense of humor (often making herself laugh), and a vast knowledge of just almost anything and everything.

Her daughter Robin has said the following about her beloved mother: “ I already miss my 9:30am calls to her ‘just to check-in’, getting her take on who would be the NASCAR leader, her never-ending grocery lists of snacks, telling me to give all the fur babies (and Jeffie) a kiss, asking me how many patients I had that day, and her undying love for Patrick Mahomes (whom she’ll be cheering on from Heaven on Sunday). My life will never be the same without you in it. I will forever be ‘your Birdie’. I love you and miss you so much. Give Daddy (and Karlene) a big hug from me. I hope there is Wawa in heaven, so you can keep getting your iced coffees. Until we meet again, Ma, I love you and thank you for being the best mom a girl could have.”

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Weston, II, and E. Bette Weston (Gilfert), and her husband James Dardas. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Dardas-Emrey (son in law, Jeff); son, Peter G. Dardas; grandson, Staff Sergeant Bradley J. Dardas; granddaughter, Ashley R. Dardas; two great-grandchildren;    brothers, David R. Weston (wife, Gwen) and Benjamin Franklin Weston, III; several nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by her cat Sam, and her furry grand babies Gus, Georgie, Ernie, Mollie Mae, Niles, Ivey and Ophelia.

At a later date, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Nancy.
