James E. Yeager, 74,
James Yeager, 74, husband to Betty (Carter) Yeager passed away Friday September 16, 2022 in Philadelphia Penn Presbyterian Hospital. A survivor from the beginning, Jim was born a preemie in Philadelphia on November 20, 1947 to the late Evans and Grace (Keen) Yeager. One of two children, Jim spent his entire life in the Spring Ford area. He was a graduate of Owen J. He enjoyed teaching and was inspired by his students. After retirement, Jim could still be found in his wood shop working on a new project or in front of his computer creating some new graphic design.
Jim and Betty loved to entertain. He was the life of a party and enjoyed creating a space to enjoy family and friends. He and Betty loved to play cards, host pig roasts and have parties in the “Den of Iniquity”. Jim also loved spending time in his home in Strathmere, NJ. He was an avid fisherman and loved cooking for his family.
Affectionately known as “Pop Pop” and “Uncle Jim”, he adored his grandchildren and extended family of niece and nephews. He was so proud of his grandchildren. They were truly the highlight of his life.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Betty; two daughters: Keena Barth (Colby Barth) and Carla Grosser (Brendan Conner); five grandchildren: Solomon and Grace Barth, Travis and Cole Grosser and Elijah Conner; his sister: Judy Parfitt; many nieces and nephews and beloved dog, Rizzo.
