Obituary of Helen J. Mealey

Helen J. (Arney) Mealey, age 84, beloved wife of Jerome “Jerry” Mealey, died on Tuesday evening, October 5, in Thomas Jefferson Hospital, after a brief illness.  Helen was born in Churchtown, PA, a daughter to the late Lyda (Gable) and Diller Arney.  Helen resided most of her life in Phoenixville and Birdsboro.

She was employed for 30 years at the former ICI America’s in Audubon, PA until retirement.

Helen lived an active life enjoying walking, boating, water skiing, swimming and spending time at the beach.

Helen is the loving mother of Son: Lou (Lisa) Toth of Florida, daughters: Cynthia McMinn (Pat) of Hawley, PA, Julie Bragg (the late Darrell) of Pottstown, PA, and Sandra Fulmer of Secane, PA. And stepchildren: Cheryl Ranieri and Jerome Mealey Jr., and daughter in law: Susan Toth and son in law: Brian Fulmer. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and predeceased by a grandson. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11am at the R. Strunk Funeral Home 400 Main Street, Phoenixville PA 19460. The Rev. Charles O’Hara officiating. Entombment will follow in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. Visitation will be held in the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
