Obituary of Leah J. Moore
Leah Jean Moore, 81, beloved wife to N. Robert Moore (Bob), passed away Tuesday July 27th, 2021, at the Phoenixville Hospital.
She was born on October 13th, 1939, in Norristown, PA to James Scott Rowan and Hazel Jean (Canfield) Rowan.
Leah graduated from Collegeville-Trappe High School in 1957 and attended Peirce School of Business. She married Bob on April 8, 1961 and spent 58 years residing in Parker Ford, PA. She worked for 10+ years in International Ministries at the American Baptist Headquarters and was a talented seamstress with a successful business. Above all, her primary occupation was as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Leah was an avid reader and loved crafting and cooking. She and Bob enjoyed traveling on many bus trips throughout the United States taking in beautiful landmarks and historical sites.
She will best be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior and for her giving heart. She was quick to cook a meal or hem a dress to serve her friends and neighbors. She enjoyed 60 years of faithful marriage to Bob and was his devoted caregiver for the past six. No one brought her more joy than her family. Affectionately called Mom-mom, she was always ready with a big meal, special treats, a birthday song, and unconditional support for the endeavors of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Leah leaves behind her loving husband; two children: Linda Jean Gottier (Russell) and N. Robert Moore Jr. (Beth); six grandchildren: Ryan Gottier (Katelyn), Katelynne Bachert (Brian), Megan Callahan (Brian), Reagan Gottier, Robert Moore, and Kamryn Gottier; and three great-grandchildren: Rory Gottier, Ellison Gottier, McKinley Bachert and coming soon Baby Boy Bachert.
