Charles "Charlie" Keim, 85, Royersford
Charlie Keim, 85, husband of Doreen “Reeny” Stahl Keim passed away Saturday March 20, 2021 in the Einstein Medical Center - Montgomery.
He was born May 13, 1935 in Royersford to the late Raymond and the late Emily (Miller) Keim. He was a lifelong member of the Royersford Community. Charlie graduated from Royersford High School in 1954 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy to serve our country. Upon completion of his enlistment, he returned to Royersford to work at Diamond Glass until they closed and then spent his remaining working years at Superior Tube, from which he retired.
Charlie enjoyed gathering with friends as a social member of the Friendship Hookies, Liberty Fire Company, and Royersford VFW. He was also a Freemason at the Spring Ford Masonic Lodge. Charlie enjoyed spending his retirement time at their place down the shore with many hours fishing, many more so than catching, in his beloved boat. He loved teaching others how to navigate the waters. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. All will miss his joking ways and his story telling. Any of those that knew him have a Charlie story.
Charlie leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Doreen “Reeny” Keim, two adoring children; Michelle Keim Christman and Steven Keim Sr. (husband to Nicole) and one sister: Marilyn Havrilla; four Grandchildren: Zachary (wife, Lauren), Steven Jr., Sophia, Julius and one great grandchild: Miles. He was predeceased by his siblings: Raymond Keim and Janet Knoeller.
