Stephen Rittersbach, 73
Stephen Rittersbach, 73, passed away Wednesday October 28, 2020 in the Manor Care, Montgomeryville.
He was born August 21, 1947 in Philadelphia to the late H. Raymond and late Frances (Wheatley) Rittersbach . One of four siblings, Stephen was raised in the Jenkintown area where he was a 1966 graduate of Jenkintown High as a 3 letter varsity Baseball Basketball and Football player. Stephen enlisted into the US Navy where he served our country during the Vietnam era. He ended up serving two tours including working on a Navy Carrier. Stephen worked for the Stroehmann Bakery Company for 20 years as a Route Salesman. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Stephen loved people, enjoyed golfing, and cheering on his Philadelphia Sports teams with friends.
Stephen leaves behind his devoted son, Phillip (Husband of Richelle) of Sinking Spring, PA, two brothers: James Becker (Husband of Christine) of Dublin, PA and Duke Rittersbach (Husband of Rosemarie) of Lansdale, PA and one sister Joanne Becker Rovno (Wife of Dr. Stephen Rovno) of California. Four grandchildren: Brandon Ammon (Husband of Rebecca) of Middletown, PA, Brittany Rittersbach of Wernersville, Jeremey & Kyle Rittersbach of Sinking Spring; 1 great granddaughter: Nora Ammon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday November 6, 2020 in R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville with Father Francesco D'Amico officiating.
Visitation Prior to the service will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Friday, November 6 at R. Strunk Funeral Home.
