Dad made such an enourmous impact on my life. I am grief-stricken he is no longer here to talk to and share our thoughts and experiences. Although we were geographically separated most of my adult life, I am glad we were able to talk several times each week, so I always knew what he was thinking and how he was reacting to the world around him. I admired how he protected and cared for Mom. We have a bigger job looking after Mom now. Rest in peace, Dad. I will love you forever.

I will never forget how he encouraged me to be financially secure through early investing for retirement. He showed his love by teaching me the most important lessons he'd learned during his incredible life. He never tolerated self-pity but always encouraged action. I wouldn't go to him for sympathy -- but for his perspective on how to correct a situation I didn't like. I've always admired his commitment to his wife and his family. His hard work and success are inspiring. Everyday, I think about what he taught me (as his lessons seem more relevant than ever). I wish I had listened more. Love you always, Grandpa.
