Shirley A. Ehrhart, 81, Spring City
Shirley Ehrhart, 81, widow of the late Gerald Hefelfinger, passed away Sunday October 20, 2019 in the Parkhouse At Providence Pointe, surrounded by family.
She was born September 1, 1938 in Phoenixville to Irvin Austin and Anna (Johnson). A lifetime resident of Spring City, Shirley retired from Diamond Glass. She was an avid bowler. Bowling was a generational activity. She loved to bowl with her mother and daughters. It was not uncommon to find her on Monday nights in the ladies league at the Limerick Bowling Alley. Shirley enjoyed many cruises to the Caribbean and also cruised to Alaska.
Shirley leaves behind her six loving children: Barbara Runyan (Arthur) of Fort Lee, NJ, Joseph Ehrhart (Beth) of Spring City, Dawn Witt (Walter) of Harleysville, Jay Ehrhart (Carolyn Getley) of Royersford, Darryl Ehrhart (Louise) of DeSoto TX, and David Ehrhart of Lansdale, four of her remaining siblings: Ada Jarrett of Pottstown, Arlene Pufko of Kimberton, Victor Austin of Pottstown, and Elizabeth Beckwith of Stowe. Nine Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother: Charles Austin and sister Margaret Ledford.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday October 24 at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City, with Rev. Charles Graff officiating.
Visitation at the Funeral Home will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, October 24 prior to the service at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
Burial will be immediately following in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
