Ida R.(Long) Rodney, 78, wife of the late of Frank Rodney, died Thursday in Manatawny Manor of Parkerford, PA. Ida was born in Phoenixville a daughter to the late Ruth Long. Ida resided most of her life in Wind Gap and Parkerford, PA, She was employed by the Diamond Glass Company in Royersford for many years as a packer until her retirement. Ida is survived by sons Frank K. Rodney Jr. husband of Gilberte of Stowe, Rick L. Rodney husband of Patricia of Warwick, PA, and Chris E. Rodney of Parkerford, PA. Also grandchildren Michelle, Nicole, Kelly, Ryan and Frank III. Great grandchildren: Ava Grace, Ansley Brin Holland and Kylie Rose Rodney. She is predeceased by a sister, Donna Derrix, and three brothers, Robert Long, Edward Long, and Butch Long, and grandson David. Relative and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, December 28, 2012 at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 at the funeral home.
