Gerald Hefelfinger, 75, husband of Shirley Ehrhart Hefelfinger died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at home. He was born in Trappe to the late James "Toby" and the late Bertha (Barto) Hefelfinger. Gerald graduated from the Collegeville Trappe High School class of 1955. He owned his own concrete company and worked as a concrete finisher for many years.
Gerald served in the Army from 1955 to 1958. He was a member of the Spring City Liberty Fire Company and American Legion. He organized and directed the "Craig Hefelfinger Memorial Golf Outing" each year to raise funds for local needy families. He enjoyed casinos , golfing and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by two brothers: Jack Hefelfinger and wife Janet of Parlin, NJ and Rich Hefelfinger and his wife Ada Marie of Royersford, PA; one sister: Mary Stepp wife of Edwin, Phoenixville, PA ; two daughters: Laurie Stipa, wife of Mark, Royersford, PA, and Wendy Warfel, wife of Stephen, Royersford, PA; 7 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death are his two brothers: Donald H. and James Jr. Hefelfinger; a sister: Dorothyanne Litka and son: Craig Hefelfinger.
Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:00am and the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Salvation Army Church, 137 King Street, Pottstown, PA with the Major Frederick Clarke officiating.
Burial will follow at the Limerick Garden of Memories in Limerick, PA.
