Rose Marie Adams, 84, Phoenixville
Rose Marie Adams, 84, widow of Qiriako V. Adams “Charlie”, passed away Saturday July 06, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born July 9, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Samuel Athanas and the late Vasiliqi (Peodani).
Rose was raised in West Philadelphia, but spent most of her life in Havertown, PA. She is a graduate of Bartram High School and was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Philadelphia, PA. Rose was very devoted to her family both immediate and extended and was known to many as Nana Rose. She spent 42 years working hand in hand with her husband running the family business, The Court Diner in Media, which became a gathering place for family and friends. Her passions included cooking, baking and summers at the beach in Avalon. Rose’s life and love was her family – most importantly her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Stephen, husband of Suzy, of Brooklyn, NY, Nicholas, husband of Mary, of Collegeville, PA, and Christine Trafford, wife of Matthew, of Phoenixville, PA; four sisters, Marion Fratta, Georgia Adams, wife of George, Martha Badgio, wife of Chris, and Tina Beyer, wife of Robert; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Adams Herbert, wife of Brendan Herbert, Ashley Adams, Alivia Adams, Samantha Trafford, Luke Adams, Allison Trafford, and Kyra Trafford.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday July 12 at St. John's Albanian Orthodox Church, 237 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 11, at R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Visitation will also be held on Friday, July 12, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. John’s Albanian Orthodox Church, 237 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA.
Burial will be immediately following at the Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA.
