I remember Bert as a long time teacher, friend, and colleague at East Coventry School. I recall how so many of the fifth graders loved when he was on the playground (he rarely missed a recess). He and the children played four square using Mr. Latshaw's rules!
He was one of a kind and very kind to me during our time together at East Coventry School.
Love and God bless,
Mary Ann
Mr. Latshaw's passing brought many of us to talk about what a special teacher and person he was. He was a great man and made a difference in our lives. Many of us wish we could be at his service. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family. We wish we could express how special he was, being a student of his was a truely a gift to us.
Mr. Latshaw was a wonderful educator and friend to every student he touched. Although many years have passed since my days at OJR -- he is someone that is not easily forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his family loving family.

Betty I am just so sorry and send much love and sympathy. Going through it myself right now makes it even more poignant. My best to you and all the family.
He was the most wonderful teacher that I ever had. I remember him walking around the classroom singing hymns and humming while we took a test. It relaxed me. Sometimes we played learning games in his class, to help us with the lesson. What fun.
I will miss my dear teacher.
Mr. Latshaw will be missed by everyone he spoke to. I loved his jokes, he would come into our office and brighten our day. Loved all his stories! He definitely became a fountain of knowledege in his years.
Our prayers go out to Betty and his entire family.
When I first started at Royersford some years ago I was at the front desk talking to Mr. Latshaw and his wife Betty, thinking what a wonderful chatty impish man. It seemed Mr. Latshaw loved to talk and he most certainly brightened our day. He is in heaven correcting the saints grammar.
Dear Family, My fondest memories of your father come from being a student of his. I was very young and shy, Mr Latshaw always put me at ease with a smile in morning and a pinch of my nose (although sometimes it was stuffed and it hurt). He was a great teacher and being a New Jersey resident, He helped to make me feel at home in North Coventry. I will always remember him with a smile. God Bless, Sincerely Emma Dorfler Mathias
