Susan L. "Sue' Keck, of Spring City, age 54, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital after many years of illness. She resided with her soul mate, William A. Bender for over ten years. She was one of the original members of Northpointe Community Church, Liberty Fire Company and VFW Post 6341. She was born in Phoenixville to the late Robert E. and Dorothy (Shick) Keck of Spring City. She resided all of her life in Spring City, she was employed at the former Pennhurst State School and was a 1975 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. She was a member of the Liberty Fire Co. and the Royersford Veterans of Foreign War Post 6341. She is survived by husband: Bill Bender of Spring City and step sons: William and Andrew; Sister: Jane L. Keck wife of Thomas Shaner, Brothers: Donald husband of Mindy Keck and Douglas husband of Jennifer Keck and 4 nephews: James, Chase, Doug Jr. and Dominic and a niece: Riley and several cousins and an Aunt: Edie Fulmer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 11am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets Spring City PA. Burial will be private. Friends may call Saturday morning at the funeral home from 10-11am.
