Norman Cassel Hedrick, 81 of Limerick
Norman Cassel Hedrick, 81 of Limerick, PA, died on Sunday April 17, 2011. He was the husband of Elsie Ibach Hedrick.
Born in Royersford, PA he was the son of the late Norman J and Mary Cassel Hedrick.
He attended the former Royersford High School and graduated in 1947. He honorably served the US Army during the Korean War. He owned his own business as a Painting Contractor but Norman retired in 1990 after 26 years as a Bottle Machine Operator for the former Diamond Glass of Royersford. He was also an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford where he served on Church Council, as a Trustee and various committees. He was also a member of the Liberty Fire Company in Spring City. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies.
Norman took very good care of his family and in addition to his wife he is survived by children: Linda Hedrick of Royersford, PA, Norma Jean wife of Steve Budd of Kinnelon, NJ, Melissa Robin wife of Matthew Mengel of Pottstown, PA, John husband of Tammy Hedrick of Stowe, PA and David Hedrick of Sanatoga, PA. He is also survived by his sister Marilyn wife of Bob Nagy of Collegeville, PA. He also had 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters.
He is predeceased in death by Sister Catherine Levengood and Brother Donald Hedrick
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets, Spring City on Thursday April 21, 2011 at 11:00am. The Rev. Paul H. Neff officiating. Burial to follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City. His viewing will be held Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10-11am.
