Eva J. Yerger, 92, Spring City Eva J. Yerger, 92, widow of Robert E. Yerger , died Tuesday in Parkhouse At Providence Pointe. She was born in Pottstown to the late Osborne and the late Katie (Burk) Jeffries. A 1941 graduate of Pottstown High School, she worked as a Telephone Operator for The Bell Telephone Company. In addition, she was employed in the assembly department of PHILCO and MOS. Eva enjoyed going out for dinner and calling bingo at the Flag House. She is survived by her 3 children, Joan Conway, wife of the late Clark of Phoenixville, Robert E. Yerger, II, husband of Carole of Pottstown, and Joyce Benfield, wife of Wayne of Spring City; her 7 grandchildren, Kristi Venezia, Corey Conway, Kent Conway, Kevin Yerger, Karen Fazik, Benjamin Benfield, and Darci Khemraj; and her 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother Forrest Jeffries. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475 at 11:00 on Friday, August 19, with the Rev Phil Yerrington officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 220 E. Schuylkill Rd. Pottstown, PA . In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice. All arrangements are being made by Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
